Mr Sam Chow
Managing Director, MVA Associates LimitedMr Sam Chow is the Vice President/Managing Director for Wilbur Smith Associates’ East Asia Region. He is registered/chartered professional engineer in United Kingdom, Australia, Hong Kong and New Zealand. Also, he is a member of the Institute of Transportation Engineers in USA and a member of the Chartered Institute of Logistic and Transport in UK. He has been working in the consultancy field for more than 17 years. Mr Chow holds a BEng in Civil Engineering from Monash University, Australia and an Executive MBA from Ottawa University, Canada. He is now responsible for the engineering consulting business of WSA in the East Asia Region, which covers Greater China, Mongolia and South Korea. He has directed and/or participated in over 70 infrastructure projects for the company in the region, of which:
- 18 highway projects in Zhejiang Province
- 13 highway projects in Guangdong Province
- 4 highway projects in Beijing City
- 2 highway projects in Fujian Province, Shanghai City and Tianjin City
- 1 highway project each in Jiangxi Province, Henan Province, Hubei Province, Sichuan Province and Jiangsu Province
In his speech, Mr Chow will focus on the development history of highway and expressway, current highway and expressway networks, plan of future expressway network, and those issues on highway quality, maintenance and safety in China.
